11 Travel Activities That You Need to Add to Your Bucket List Now
“You only live once,”- Ok, so it’s a bit of a cliché. However, the saying couldn’t be more true. Our lives are fleeting and essentially passing before our eyes so if you don’t have some sort of a bucket list that you are striving for, pick up a pen and get started now.
Ever since I was young, I have had an insatiable passion for traveling. After many excursions abroad, I began to hone in my travel focus and started to make my adventures more centered around a larger purpose. I began crafting my personal bucket list and have been checking off items ever since. Even while running successful businesses and raising a family, I have been working towards reaching these goals. Now that I am heading out of my 40s’, I am aiming to visit 50 countries by 50.
The experiences I have had from my personal bucket list have immeasurably changed my life. So now, I want to share with you all of the top adventures I hope you will consider adding to your personal bucket list too!
- Riding an Elephant in Asia or Africa
I’ve been lucky enough to do both. These gentle giants exist outside the zoos and riding atop one of them through the jungle was a magical experience.

I love poker and after watching the World Series from my couch for years, I finally made my way to Las Vegas to play alongside the pros. Now we bring new players just like me there every year
- Motor Biking Through Thailand
Motorbikes are the preferred mode of transport around Thailand and getting on one of these bad boys and riding the countryside roads was a highlight of my Thailand trip. Rice paddies, jungles and elephants on the side of the road an experience I surely won’t forget.

Between the adrenaline from the jump and the beauty of the falls, this intense experience was one of my finest memories.

Cruising past these glistening giants was a surreal experience that got me closer to understanding the diversity and power of nature.

Sipping on this infamous brew tested my limits of what was normal and acceptable to take part in. It showed me that even something as strange as coffee made from animal droppings could be something I would fall in love with.
Despite my travels and experiences, I have learned that there are always new places to see and new experiences to be had. While I am approaching 50, I don’t look at my life as slowing down.
